CODAworx is pleased to announce the rollout of the new CODAworx 2.0 website, re-designed to include a robust search engine function that harnesses data specific to the 7,000 art projects in the company’s database. Utilizing the expertise of top software developers and data scientists, the new website uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language searches to provide ideas and information that will serve to facilitate connections among creative professionals as well as future commissions.
Each completed project in the CODAworx database has numerous data fields which form the basis of the site’s search engine outcomes. Website visitors can enter single word or phrase searches to quickly find projects that fit their specific criteria. A sophisticated filtering system allows for searches by any number of options —e.g., artwork that reinforces a brand, an emotion, a medium, or interactive viewer participation. Projects are displayed in searches based on filters selected by users. Most important, the new website provides greater transparency for the vast amount of project data (representing almost $2 billion in commission fees) as well as quick and easy access to art commissioning resources.
The CODAworx community consists of artists, architects and designers, as well as art consultants, public art administrators, fabricators, foundries, lighting designers, engineers, video professionals, landscape architects and more. The CODAworx 2.0 website further coalesces these sometimes-disparate participants in the commissioned art economy. The enhanced user interface seamlessly allows creative professionals to connect with project collaborators from around the globe. For example, artists and designers can efficiently send out commissioned bid requests to fabricators based on single word or phrase search results. Art commissioners can send bid requests to artists skilled in creating large-scale steel sculptures in outdoor venues.
Project contributors, at a later date, will be encouraged to tag posted works that best connect searches to intended outcomes. Paid CODAworx members will stand out, as search results display their projects at twice the size of other projects, and those projects will appear at the top of search results.
Publish Your Projects
CODAworx is a leading authority on commissioned art and we maintain a comprehensive database of information regarding RFPs, commissioning entities, budgets, and awards. Tapping into this database enables CODAweekly to also feature regular Industry Reports by design segment (commercial, hospitality, healthcare, etc.) that will highlight top artists, trends in commission fees, and more.
We encourage you to add information to the CODAworx database by publishing a project to our Project Library. Anyone involved in the collaborative process can publish a project on CODAworx. This includes the artist and creative teams, design professionals and other commissioners, and industry resources including fabricators, engineers, installers, lighting designers, videographers, and more.
The more information we know about our industry, the smarter we can work and create! Contribute to the knowledge base. Potential clients, commissioners, collaborators and your peers will get to know you and your work. They can contact you directly through the CODAworx messaging system.
